What is service robotics?

Robots that work with people, not behind safety fences

Service robotics refers to the use of robots outside classic industrial environments. They move autonomously through real, constantly changing spaces and take on tasks directly around guests, customers and staff. For many years, robots could only show their potential in industry. Today, more and more sectors are adopting them to address the shortage of skilled workers and demographic change.

Product overview

The right robot for every task

A selection from our portfolio. On request, the robots even speak dialects, from Swabian to Low German. Detailed data sheets are available on request.

Delivery

Dinerbot T8 / T9

Compact delivery and clearing robots. At 55 cm, the T8 fits through narrow aisles; the T9 carries up to 40 kg on four levels. HD touchscreen, obstacle avoidance, up to 18 hours of runtime.

Promotion

Dinerbot T10

Serving, delivery and promotion robot with a large display. Dynamic navigation via four stereo-vision sensors and VSLAM. An eye-catcher that works at the same time.

Discreet

Kurierbot T3 & Buttlerbot W3

Enclosed deliveries for upscale hospitality, hotels and hospitals. The W3 reaches every floor via the lift function; the cabin only opens with a code.

Cleaning

Cleanbot C20 / C25

4-in-1 cleaning: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, drying — up to 400 m² per hour. The C25 is designed for large areas with 360° navigation and a 10-litre fresh-water tank.

Heavy load

Logistics S100

Transports over 100 kg around the clock. 360° obstacle avoidance, plug-and-play and a 15-second battery swap ensure maximum uptime.

Sensor technology

Shiela ONE

A mobile platform with highly sensitive gas sensors that detects spoiled food via VOC detection — AI-assisted, autonomous and reliable, even at night.

AURA ONE: measuring interiors, fully autonomously in 3D

AURA ONE is our autonomous measurement robot for the 3D capture of interiors, developed by Maucher CNC-Robotic on the basis of the Unitree Go2W. The robot navigates independently to predefined measuring points, captures the entire room there and delivers a fully coloured 3D point cloud — ready to use directly in CAD planning and surveying.

  • Autonomous navigation to predefined measuring points via sensor fusion of 3D LiDAR and IMU
  • Spherical scanning: continuous 360° horizontal rotation and vertical tilt from −35° to +54°
  • Fully coloured 3D point clouds from ToF and RGB cameras
  • Real-time transmission to the workstation for measurement, planning and surveying

Bridging the sim-to-real gap: robots trained in simulation often fail in reality because virtual environments differ from the real world — this difference is called the sim-to-real gap. The true-to-scale 3D point clouds of real interiors captured with AURA ONE provide the basis for realistic digital twins and training data, helping to close this gap. Your Museum: the T10 as a digital museum guide

With the T10 service robot, a museum visit becomes an interactive experience: the robot guides visitors independently through all exhibits and displays QR codes at each station — one each for German, English and Dutch. This creates a multilingual, personalised tour without a fixed guide. The live demo shows one possible configuration. (The demo itself is in German.)

  • Autonomous guidance through all 25 stations with an animated live floor plan
  • Multilingual content via QR code: German, English, Dutch
  • Self-explanatory operation: start a tour or select an individual exhibit

Industrial robotics

Usually works guarded and stationary in a defined cell. The focus is on precision, repeatability and cycle time.

Service robotics

Moves freely in public, dynamic spaces with people. The focus is on safe navigation, obstacle avoidance and simple interaction.

Why this matters for safety: as soon as a robot leaves the safety fence and moves among people, operator responsibility becomes central. We support safe setup and clarify which requirements apply to your use case. More on CE & Safety.

Our services

More than a sale: a complete service package

Consulting & planning

Needs analysis, individual robotics solution and project management.

Sales & integration

Installation, commissioning and connection to existing systems.

Rental & leasing

Short- and long-term rental models as well as test and demo deployments before purchase.

Maintenance & support

Regular inspections, technical support and training.

Cloud-controlled advertising campaigns and robots in your own branding.

Economic benefit

“In an average restaurant, service staff* walk around 14 kilometres a day, carrying about 720 kilograms.”

Service robots take over exactly these trips. This relieves your team and increases service quality.

Frequently asked questions

Service robotics explained in brief

The use of robots outside classic industrial environments — wherever they share a space with people. They take on recurring tasks such as delivering, clearing, cleaning or greeting, and navigate autonomously through real, changing environments.
No. The robots map their environment themselves; operation and routes run via touchscreen and app. We handle setup, training and support.
Yes. In addition to purchase, we offer rental and leasing models from around €9.96 per day. Various terms are possible via our financing partner; after 48 months at the latest, the robot is yours.
Industrial robots usually work guarded in a fixed cell, service robots freely among people. This shifts the focus from pure precision towards safe navigation, obstacle avoidance and simple interaction.
The models feature multi-stage obstacle avoidance, stereo sensors and VSLAM. The specific location remains decisive: we help to design placement, routes and operator duties safely.
As a wholesaler, we are continuing to expand our service network in Germany. If you would like to act as a reseller or service hub, please get in touch via the contact form.
